The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center is a nonprofit organization located in the Texas Panhandle that is committed to supporting children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Established in 1989 and based in Amarillo, the center provides a welcoming and secure environment for young victims. Here, law enforcement, child protective services, and medical professionals can work together in a single location, streamlining the process and ensuring a coordinated response for the children in need.

Texas Panhandle Women Who Care are playing a vital role in restoring dignity to children across the Texas Panhandle. Their generous donations to The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center are earmarked for the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility in Amarillo. This new building will serve approximately 1,000 children each year from the 26 counties in the region, providing essential services to those who have suffered physical or sexual abuse.
Texas Panhandle Women Who Care have chosen to sponsor the comforting shower facility located in the medical and mental health wing of the new center. Mollie Swafford emphasizes the significance of this gift: “This gift is incredibly special. Imagine the difficulty of going through a forensic medical exam, where evidence is collected. Being able to shower after this part of the process will bring comfort to our kids. We are so very grateful to the Texas Panhandle Women who truly care about our Texas Panhandle kids!!”
Collective Giving and Upcoming Event:
The Texas Panhandle Women Who Care made a collective donation of $17,050 to the Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center.
