Hills of His Grace Herald

The Texas Panhandle 100 Women Who Care hosted our fourth event, “April Fool’s Day, It’s no Joke”, on April 1, 2025, at the Panhandle Methodist Church in Panhandle Texas.  Thank you to the church members and pastor, Reverend Jerry Lane for allowing the use of your facilities.  Thank you to our Sponsors: Cornerstone Synergy, The Office of Sherwood and Sherwood, J and D Auto Parts, Williams Farms and Leisher Living Homes, all Panhandle businesses.

Over 80 Women attended the meeting. Two nominated non-profit organizations were presented by members.  Voting occurred and Hills of His Grace was selected to receive the donation. Through the collective giving of 164 women from various towns in the Panhandle of Texas, $16,200 was donated to Hills of His Grace.

Hills of His Grace (HoHG) was co-founded in 2019 by a Panhandle resident with a heart for Missions and the People of Haiti. HoHG is a nonprofit focused on showing Christ’s deep and wide love in the hills of rural Haiti through full bellies, growing brains & sweet dreams. Since inception HoHG has been able to raise donations exceeding $650,000. With low overhead and no US based employees, almost every dollar raised has been invested directly into the partnering Haitian community.

Through Grace Hill School, HoHG provides a comprehensive and free education, including Bible Classes, for 152 children grades pre-school through 5th. They ensure their students ability to learn by providing a daily meal to all children in the community and clean water from their on-campus cistern. They also partner with parents to provide new metal roofs to student’s homes to secure protection from the elements and comfort in their home.

Hills of His Grace meal program is offered to all children in the community, regardless of school enrollment. One daily meal is provided to an average of 200 children per day. Hills of His Grace has 24 local employees including a Nurse who provides well checks and non-emergent medical care to students and family members at no cost.

Hills of His Grace is honored to partner with Eurphrata Church by providing Pastoral support, benches, Bibles, Hymnals & Vacation Bible School. The largest day of VBS on record was sharing the love of Jesus to 385 children! The Jesus Story Book Bible in Haitian Creole has been provided to both children in the community and as a part of Grace Hill School.

HoHG is proud to deepen their investment with the local community through their Microloan program. Through this program goats are loaned to women in the community and are re-paid with 2 kids, which will then be loaned out to widen the program. The owners of the goats can sell milk at market providing an income for their families.

Hills of His Grace has completed capital projects of a 55,000-gallon cistern, outdoor charcoal kitchen, outhouse, foundation for an 8-room schoolhouse, & 2 completed classrooms.

With the generous donation from 100 Women Who Care, Hills of His Grace can complete funding for 3 additional classrooms. Along with these classrooms, plans are also in motion to complete the construction of a 100-chicken coop to achieve the goal of providing access to daily protein for community children.

Through 100 Women Who Care, we, as women in the Texas Panhandle, are demonstrating the profound impact that collective giving can have on others, embodying the spirit of generosity and camaraderie. As we come together, our actions speak volumes—proving that indeed, when women unite, they are stronger together.  WE invite you to find out more about our organization by visiting our website: texaspanhandlewwc.com or call 806-336-8801. Our next meeting is June 24, 2025.
